Pay attention to small details in bathroom waterproofing decoration
1、 Try not to damage the original waterproof layer as much as possible
The common problem now is that during decoration, some bathroom bathing facilities will be added and various water and drainage pipelines will be rearranged or moved, which has seriously damaged the original waterproof layer of the building.
Experience: The waterproof layer is easily damaged when renovating the ground. If not repaired in a timely manner, leakage may occur in the future, affecting the neighborhood. So when decorating, attention should be paid to protecting the waterproof layer. If it is accidentally damaged, it should be repaired in a timely manner to avoid leaving hidden dangers.
2、 Re laying tiles requires waterproofing of the ground
Before waterproofing, be sure to clean the ground thoroughly and apply polyurethane waterproof coating 2-3 times repeatedly.
Experience: The joints between walls and floors, as well as the joints between pipes and floors, are the most prone to problems. It is important to urge workers to handle these edges and corners well, and waterproof coatings must be applied properly.
3、 Acceptance of waterproofing through 24-hour "water storage test"
After the waterproofing project is completed, seal the door and drain, fill the bathroom floor with water to a certain liquid level, and mark it. If the liquid level does not drop significantly within 24 hours, especially if there is no leakage on the roof of the downstairs residence, the waterproofing is qualified.
Experience: For the acceptance of lightweight wall waterproofing construction, a water spraying test should be carried out, that is, using a water pipe to continuously spray water from top to bottom on the wall with waterproof coating for 3 minutes,
4、 Be sure to do wall waterproofing
When taking a bath in the bathroom, water may splash onto adjacent walls. Without the protection of a waterproof layer, adjacent walls and opposite corner walls are prone to moisture and mold.
Experience: The wall waterproofing adjacent to the shower location should also be 1.8 meters high. If using a bathtub, the height of the waterproof coating on the wall adjacent to the bathtub should also be higher than the upper edge of the bathtub.
5、 Waterproofing should also be applied to the grooves of the water pipes inside the wall
During the construction process, when pipelines, floor drains, etc. pass through the floor slab, the waterproof layer around their holes must be carefully constructed.
Experience: The floor of the kitchen and bathroom must be sloped towards the floor drain, and the slope should be appropriately increased. When decorating the pipes in the kitchen and bathroom, efforts should be made to avoid changing the original drainage and sewage pipes and floor drain positions.
