2024 Bathroom Trends Report: Water saving Products in Demand


Firstly, increase the technological shower experience

Shower is a home spa. When asked about the most popular shower function, those who voted most were built-in seat shower (69%), hand-held shower (66%), rain shower (61%), steam shower (51%) and body spray (39%). Interestingly, when asked about the control method, the touchpad (64%) performed better than pure hands (57%), indicating an increased shower experience utilizing technology.

Secondly, add a beverage station and refrigerator in the bathroom

The bathroom now has a beverage station and a refrigerator. The days of just taking a shower are gone forever, a trend that was almost unheard of a few years ago. In this year's survey, a considerable number of respondents (21%) said that they were interested in adding refrigerators in the main bathroom to store drinks, drugs, face cream and cosmetics.

Thirdly, green becomes the preferred color

Green is the preferred color over white. When asked about the preferred color trend for bathrooms, the majority of respondents (35%) indicated that green is the preferred color tone, ranking before white (31%), blue (26%), gray (25%), and several other colors.

Fourth, increase shower area

Remove the bathtub to make the shower bigger. The most popular bathroom decoration is removing the bathtub to increase shower area (56%), which exceeds other popular renovations such as removing walls to increase the main bathroom footprint (48%), connecting the bathroom to a closet or changing area (39%), and providing a separate casing for the toilet (35%).

Fifth, water-saving products are popular

When asked about the trends for the next three years, they pointed out that the characteristics of water conservation and sustainable development will be popular in alternative energy-saving water heaters (51%), EPA WaterSense/low flow toilets (45%), EPA WaterSense low flow sink faucets (31%), and EPA WaterSense low flow shower nozzles (30%). It is worth noting that 16.5% of respondents stated that within three years, the drainage pipe of the bathroom sink will enter the toilet water tank for flushing. Only 14% of respondents stated that these sustainability options will not be popular.
